In this episode I talk about the National Finals for the Imagine Cup held here in Sydney last week. All five finalist teams had awesome solutions and presentations and it was a difficult decision for the judges to determine the best of them. However, in the end they did so have a listen and decide whether you think they made the right choice.
In the podcast I also mention some extra media. Firstly, here's the photo set of the evening: http://www.flickr.com/photos/delicategenius/sets/72157618881134400/
In addition, if you would like to see what the actual Imagine Cup is all about, here's a very cool PhotoSynth done by @delic8genius: http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=9F5AEBF1-A335-43F9-AC39-95C637642BA9
Oh, and remember, if you're a gamer, I also publish my gaming podcast over at http://mrandypuppy.podbean.com. Ciao!

Apologies to those who listen to both of my podcasts - this is a crosspost from my gaming podcast.
I was fortunate enough to have a special guest on the show - Ashley Jenkins, the Digital Media "dudette" for Microsoft Australia. Ashley was in charge of making sure the New Xbox Experience (NXE) launch went off without a hitch in Australia. The episode is all about the New Xbox Experience and some of the recent games released on the Xbox 360. So, while this episode is most definitely a gaming one, it's also worth posting over here in the Microsoft stream too.
Hope you enjoy.

Take a listen to this week's podcast where not only do I talk about what you can get up to in Imagine Cup, but special guest David Burela talks about his experience of Imagine Cup 2008 and provides some tips and insights for those wanting to enter Imagine Cup 2009. David's team ended up winning the world finals and you can find out more about their solution at http://come.to/soak.

This week I was travelling around the country and happened to be in Perth when the winners of the recent Devsta programming competition were decided. It just so happened that the winners were in Perth too so I took a 30 minute break from visiting universities and local business to interview the two bright sparks who beat out the competition to win the ultimate prize of a trip to Mix 09 in Las Vegas.
Just take a look at these lovely lads:

This is the first podcast in my series looking at the cool technology and initiatives I encounter in my job. From interviewing winners of competitions, talking about free software, looking at ways students and teachers can be empowered by technology to fun stuff like exploring PhotoSynth, Surface and Xbox, this podcast is a way of letting you know what's going on where I work.
If you're looking for my gaming podcast, head over to http://mrandypuppy.podbean.com.
In this first podcast, I talk to Karo Esmaili about Dreamspark, which is basically free software for students. Find out what you get out of the program and how you get it. Some of the links mentioned in the podcast:
